Yellow Submarine Nesting Dolls: The perfect Beatles Collectible
Yellow submarine nesting dolls are a flashback to my childhood back in the 1970’s. At that time, the kids were either Beatles or Elvis Presley fans, there was no middle ground. For my part, I was very much in the Beatles camp and loved listening to their music and reading about them. There were many iconic bands around at that time, but none of them quite reached the same levels as the Beatles or Elvis Presley. Elvis tragically died young and the Beatles split up after just 8 -years together, and these might be factors in ensuring their legendary status. I love the Rolling Stones but seeing them perform in their 80s doesn’t carry the same aura as icons remembered in their prime.
Yellow Submarine Gifts: The Beatles are still a global bestseller
The Beatles are the world’s biggest band and decades later they still have huge universal appeal. They still sell tens of millions of albums, downloads and there is a huge demand for original vinyl records and Beatle memorabilia, which can sell for thousands of dollars. The Beatles collectibles market is estimated to be worth $70–100 million annually year on year, and there is no sign of it abating any time soon. Yellow submarine gifts remain popular because this era represents perhaps the most creative period of the Beatles story.
A global phenomenon
Yellow Submarine nesting dolls pay tribute to the 1968 animated classic Yellow Submarine, with music by The Beatles. This was a masterpiece of its era, blending surreal pop art, vibrant psychedelic colors, and classic British humor. The plot follows John, Paul, George, and Ringo on their journey to Pepperland—a peaceful paradise threatened by the music-hating Blue Meanies. Famous for revolutionary visuals and legendary tracks like “All You Need Is Love,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” and “Eleanor Rigby,” the film remains very popular to this day. Our 5-piece nesting doll set captures this magic, featuring a 6-inch Yellow Submarine outer shell that opens to reveal John, Paul, George, and Ringo in descending size order.
Authentic Russian Dolls
Every set of Yellow Submarine Nesting Dolls is handcrafted using traditional woodworking techniques. The process begins with premium linden wood, selected for it’s easy to carve qualities, and durable qualities, which last for decades. After the timber is properly seasoned, craftsmen produce the dolls on a lathe so that they stack inside one another. The wood is then hand-sanded to produce a smooth surface suitable for the base design transfers. Skilled artists hand-paint the final details to bring John, Paul, George, and Ringo to life. Finally, multiple protective layers of non-toxic varnish are applied to preserve the artwork with glossy finish—creating a great yellow submarine gift for any fan.
